This man has put down on paper what many people are thinking, but are too cautious to express openly (including me up to now). I hope it never comes to what he is advocating, but I can certainly see where the possibility exists. God help us all if it ever does happen.

I feel a tremendous responsibility to write this article though I am a little apprehensive. Thinking about the possibility of rising up against our own government is a frightening thing for many of us. I am not Johnny Rambo and I will be the first to admit that I do not want to die. The reason I feel compelled to write this, however, is simply because I don’t think the average American is equipped with the facts. I feel that a lot of American citizens feel like they have no choice but to surrender their guns if the government comes for them. I blame traditional media sources for this mass brainwash and I carry the responsibility of all small independent bloggers to tell the truth. So my focus today is to lay out your constitutional rights as an American, and let you decide what to do with those rights.

About a month ago I let the “democracy” word slip in a discussion with a fellow blogger. I know better. Americans have been conditioned to use this term. It’s not an accurate term and it never has been a correct term to describe our form of government. The truth is that the United States of America is a constitutional republic. This is similar to a democracy because our representatives are selected by democratic elections, but ultimately our representatives are required to work within the framework of our constitution. In other words, even if 90% of Americans want something that goes against our founding principles, they have no right to call for a violation of constitutional rights.

If you are religious you might choose to think of it this way… Say that members of your congregation decide that mass fornication is a good thing. Do they have the right to change the teachings of your God? The truth is the truth. It doesn’t matter how many people try to stray from it. Did I just compare our founders to God? In a way I did, but please note that I am not trying to insult anyone. For the purpose of the American Government our constitution and founders who wrote it are much like God is to believers. It is the law. It is indisputable.

Our founders did not want a “democracy” for they feared a true democracy was just as dangerous as a monarchy. The founders were highly educated people who were experienced in defending themselves against tyranny. They understood that the constitution could protect the people by limiting the power of anyone to work outside of it much better than a pure system of popularity. A system of checks and balances was set up to help limit corruption of government and also the potential for an “immoral majority” developing within the American People. We have forgotten in this country that we are ultimately ruled by a constitution.

Why is a democracy potentially just as dangerous as a monarchy? Let’s look at something that Benjamin Franklin said because it answers that question more fully and succinctly than I can.
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. -Benjamin Franklin. Even 230+ years ago our founders were perceptive enough to realize that democracy was a dangerous form of government. How so? Because the citizens of a country can become just as corrupt as any government. We have seen evidence of this throughout history. Ask Native Americans and African-Americans if this population can become corrupt.

I think in 2012 we are seeing evidence of what Franklin was trying to tell us. Just because a majority of people may support certain ideas it does not mean that those ideas are just. In simple terms, just because most Americans love our president and voted for him, it does not mean that he has the power to go against our constitutional rights.

Next I’d like to review the text of the second amendment. It is very clear. This is the law of this land. So when Senator Feinstein or President Obama, talk about taking your guns, you need to think about something. Are they honoring their sworn oath to uphold the constitution?
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State , the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
This is a pretty clear statement. The fact is that it took 232 years for the Supreme Court to even rule on this amendment because it has never been successfully challenged. In 2008 a case of Columbia v. Heller the Supreme Court ruled that a handgun ban in Washington D.C. was unconstitutional. One also has to take this into consideration. The Supreme Court supports your right to own guns. If you want to research this decision further you can start here.
For those who try to debate the spirit of the 2nd amendment, they are truly no different from people who will try to take Biblical quotes out of context to try to support their immoral decisions. The founders were very clear on the intent of the 2nd amendment. Let me share a few quick quotes here:
The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. -Thomas Jefferson

Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence … From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to insure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable . . . the very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference – they deserve a place of honor with all that is good. -George Washington

The Constitution shall never be construed….to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms. -Samuel Adams
I could find hundreds of quotes like these. This country was built on the right to bear arms. It was built on the rights of an individual to bear arms, regardless of what his government or neighbor happened to think. This is crystal clear. Ironically the people who voice their opinions against this right have their free speech protected by your guns. Without guns in this country, all other amendments become null and void, simply because “We the People” will lose our power of enforcement.
We need to keep this in mind as our “representatives” try to push gun bans. I don’t care if 99% of people are in support of gun bans (which is far from the case), it is a violation of our constitutional rights, plain and simple.

A constitutional republic protects the rights of the individual even when their ideas are very much in the minority. If I were the only person in America who believed in the 2nd amendment, I would still be within my rights to call upon it. You would all think I was insane and possibly celebrate if I was gunned down, but in the end I would be the only true American among us.

Our framers were very clear on this. If my government comes to take my guns, they are violating one of my constitutional rights that is covered by the 2nd amendment.
It is not my right, at that point, but my responsibility to respond in the name of liberty. What I am telling you is something that many are trying to soft sell, and many others have tried to avoid putting into print, but I am going to say it. The time for speaking in code is over. If they come for our guns then it is our constitutional right to put them six feet under. You have the right to kill any representative of this government who tries to tread on your liberty. I am thinking about self-defense and not talking about inciting a revolution. Re-read Jefferson ’s quote. He talks about a “last resort.” I am not trying to start a Revolt, I am talking about self-defense. If the day for Revolution comes, when no peaceful options exist, we may have to talk about that as well. None of us wants to think about that, but please understand that a majority can not take away your rights as an American citizen. Only you can choose to give up your rights.

Congress could pass gun ban legislation by a 90%+ margin and it just would not matter. I think some people are very unclear on this. This is the reason we have a Supreme Court, and though I do not doubt that the Supreme Court can also become corrupt, in 2008 they got it right. They supported the constitution. It does not matter what the majority supports because America is not a democracy. A constitutional republic protects the rights of every single citizen, no matter what their “elected servants” say. A majority in America only matters when the constitution is not in play.

I just wrote what every believer in the constitution wants to say, and what every constitutional blogger needs to write. The truth of the matter is that this type of speech is viewed as dangerous and radical or subversive, and it could gain me a world of trouble that I do not want. It is also the truth. To make myself clear I will tell you again. If they come for your guns it is your right to use those guns against them and to kill them. You are protected by our constitution.

Most of the articles I am reading on the subject are trying to give you clues without just coming out and saying it. I understand that because certain things in this country will get you on a list that you don’t want to be on. I may well be on that list. This blog is small and growing so I may not be there yet, but I have dreams. I also have my own list of subversives and anyone who attempts to deny my constitutional rights is on that list.

I am not the “subversive” here, it is the political representatives who are threatening to take away my inalienable rights. If they come to take my guns and I leave a few of them wounded or dead, and I somehow survive, I have zero doubt that I will spend a long time in prison and may face an execution. But I would much rather be a political prisoner than a slave.

If I go down fighting then I was not fighting to harm these human beings. I was simply defending my liberty and yours. It is self-defense and it is what our country was built on. We won our freedom in self-defense. We would not be ruled by a tyrannical government in the 1770′s and we will not be ruled in 2013 by a tyrannical government. There is no difference.

This is a case of right and wrong. As of now the 2nd amendment stands. It has never been repealed. If Feinstein or Barack have a problem with the constitution then they should be removed from office. They are not defending the constitution which they have sworn an oath to protect. It is treasonous to say the least. They would likely say the same about me, but I have the constitution, the founders, and the supreme court on my side. They only have their inflated egos.

I am not writing this to incite people. I am writing this in hopes that somehow I can make a tiny difference. I have no idea how many of my neighbors have the will to defend their constitutional rights. 2%? 20%? I am afraid that 20% is a high number, unfortunately. When push comes to shove many people may give up and submit to being ruled. I believe that our government is banking on this.

I would hope that our officials come to realize that, regardless of our numbers, we still exist because they are calling Patriotic Americans to action. They are making us decide if we want to die free or submit to their rule. I can not tell you where you should stand on that. I do know that it may make the difference between living a life of freedom or slavery.
You must start thinking about this because I believe that the day is coming soon and I personally believe it has already been planned. Not all conspiracy theories are hogwash. They may throw down the gauntlet soon and my suggestion is that you prepare yourself to react.
I mean no disrespect to our elected officials but they need to understand that “We the People” will not be disarmed. If they proceed then it is they that are provoking us and we will act accordingly. We are within our rights to do so.

For those who are in support of taking the guns, you need to ask yourself a very important question, and I am not just talking about the politicians, because if you support them, you have chosen your side.

Brace Yourselves

I got back from the Gun rally in Albany on Feb 28th and wrote a quick post to Facebook”


People like Obama and Cuomo are evil men, but they are not stupid. They know exactly what they are doing, and the rest of these career politicians who are so dead set on destroying everything America has ever stood for are following along lock step. Many millions have no intention of complying with what is happening, yet these evil tyrannical monsters are equally determined on pushing forward with speed and impunity. The line is being drawn very clearly. Bloodshed is coming. We are witnessing the death of the United States of America right before our eyes.

I received this reply
“Its a distraction… from the other moves that are being made. Nothing better than a legit distraction.”

One destructive attack distracts equally from the other. This is really the point. ALL of what these wicked people are doing is planned to maximize the damage and destruction of our nation. People like Obama aren’t simple traitors . . . he is an ENEMY at war with the PEOPLE of AMERICA. Propaganda from a blatantly dishonest and manipulative media (and I’m including Fox) fed to a public that has been conditioned for years and years through a state controlled educational system, an entertainment establishment that is not simply amoral . . it is ANTI-moral, anti Judeo-Christian and irrational. This conditioning has produced a people that look to Pierce Morgan, Jon Stewart and Bill Maher or windbags like Bill O’Reilly to tell them how to think. Oh my! Pierce Morgan made a brain dead statement with a British accent!! Must be true! Jon Stewart made some hilarious remarks during a comedic interview . . Must be true!! Bill Maher spoke a condescending insult against some conservative somewhere . . . isn’t he brilliant! Bill O’Reilly rudely cut off a guest while interviewing him . . see! He’s right!! I recently saw a post on Facebook that pictured an anti Obama bumper sticker and the scathing retort was “You people really need to grow up.” Wow . . . heavy argument here. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights . . ” When a people have been so completely stupefied that that which is “self-evident” is no longer deemed important, something terrible and evil has happened. The very principles and evidential framework of the character of man, created in the image and likeness of their Creator, has been dismissed as foolish and irrelevant. And as society crashes and burns in its foolishness and filth, the fools continue to point at the very moral and ethical principles that made this country great and cry “See what these backwards policies have done to us?! We need to reject them even more!” The irrational gibberish is infuriating. Paul Revere cried “The Red Coats are coming!” There is a new cry being heard by some . . . “The White House is coming!” To Arms!!!

Help Yourself!

Mark 10:17-22

Filtered society, dinner parties, the “right” friends, formal perfect church, and everybody playing nicey nice . . . a perfect little world in a perfect little family with none of “those” people annoying us. God, please help me to see them as Christ saw the rich young ruler. “And beholding him, he loved him.”

God is not here to make your life some perfect comfy cozy wonder land of personal bliss. “Good Master, what shall I do that I might inherit eternal life?” This was not an inquiry on how to have a relationship with God and serve Him nor an interest in things beyond THIS life, it was a self-seeking maneuvering; looking to Jesus for self-improvement. “What can I add to my wonderful self?”

The rich young ruler observed the “commandments” from his youth, he said. However, Christ revealed to him that he did so for himself . . so he could be a “better person.” Self-improvement.

The two great commandments of the law are, Love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself. In these two commands all the law is fulfilled. Paul told Timothy that the “end of the commandment is charity, of of a pure heart and of faith unfeigned.” The “objective” God has in the law is o purify the heart and bring about honest faith in Him, and the result will be CHARITY! The outworking of real love. Motivation in obedience to the law is the key here, and it reveals self-righteousness and pride at the deepest level.

Jesus told him to go sell what he had, give to the poor, and come follow him. He called on the young man to demonstrate his love for others and his love for God in one sentence.
The young man began by calling Jesus “Good Master.” When he sees he is not getting what he was looking for, he changed it to “master.” And in the end, he walked away sorrowful. Not sorry that he was lost, sinful self-righteous or filled with pride, but sorrowful that Jesus didn’t give him what he wanted to make himself better.

This is what happens when God is nothing more than another self-help method.

Questioning the Question

Mark 10:17,18
17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Jesus answers a question with a question. Gets a person to examine their presumptions.

The man wanted to know how to have eternal life. Called Jesus “Good” master with the thought that is was goodness that gets a person to heaven, and wanted to know what he had to do to be good.
There is no doubt that any good person would go to heaven.
The issue is, sir, that there is none good but God! Your application to join the Trinity has been rejected! You aren’t good! That’s the problem.

If you honestly think you are that good . . there’s only one way out of that self-deception. You need to get married!

Really though, taking the issue back to its beginning, “There is none good but God,” and it was clear to the man that Jesus was good. So who was Jesus claiming to be? Christ made several points in questioning the question. 1. That He is God. 2. That there is none but God good enough to be in heaven. 3. That He has the authority to answer a question such as this. 4. That there must be a way other than the general assumptions for man to inherit eternal life.

Jesus goes on to tell this man to keep the commandments, to which the man replies he has done since a little boy. But in the next thing that Jesus says, he exposes the man’s heart.

The man claims “I” don’t lie; “I” don’t steal; “I” don’t murder; “I” don’t cheat; etc. But it was his motivation that exposed the whole self deception.

Jesus says in verse 21 to go and sell what he has and give to the poor, and come and follow Him. The response is profound. This man was “obedient” to these particular commands out of self-righteousness. He thought of himself as benefiting from his own “good character” as compared to others he saw as inferior, or lower, than himself. In other words, his motivation was SELF.

Jesus tells us that the two greatest commands of the law are Love God and Love your neighbor. Love for God and neighbor is not centered in one’s self. It is projected outward and not only does no harm, but goes beyond and does good . . it acts outwardly. That is known in Scripture as “Charity.” Giving without expecting in return.

Jesus tells the man to sell what he has and give it, and come follow Him. In other words, demonstrate your love for others, and your love for God. This exposed the man to himself and he walked away sorrowful.

Just as so many others walk away sorrowing when they discover that they are not actually the person they thought they were. It isn’t recorded as to what happened to this man in later life, but one can hope that this conviction brought on his heart by the only Good God Himself was acknowledged and that he repented and sought forgiveness rather than recognition of his own goodness.

Human Sexuality

The human desire for sexual exchange is God given and within His purpose is a great blessing. However, since the fall of man these desires have become twisted and no longer remain in focus. Since the fall of man, the desire for sex is triggered by different things . . . some things that are outside of God’s original purpose and plan, and some things which are very twisted and unnatural. Even within a normal godly relationship between a man and his WIFE, some people are “turned on” by things that others would never have even considered. It may be uncomfortable to talk about here, but some people are “turned on” by animal mutilation . . among other things most of us would call horrific and perverse. The bottom line in this issue is really much simpler than we seem to think. God’s purpose for human sexuality is for marital intimacy and procreation, and also to be a human object lesson for the relationship of Christ and His church. ANYTHING outside of this purpose is contrary to God’s reason and law, and is sin. So, with that said, A man (or woman) who has sexual attraction to another woman (or man) beside his wife (or her husband) has no more right to follow through with that desire than to have sex with a dog, or anyone other that his/her spouse. The desire is irrelevant. I feel just as bad for a man who is “turned on” by another man as I do for anyone else who has sexual desires outside of God’s purpose. I don’t know of too many men who have never felt attracted to another woman besides their wife. But it is an attraction that must be resisted if we are to remain in God’s will. Many people have desires to lie, cheat, steal and murder. Just because that may be a desire certainly does not give one the right to do so, because these things are outside of God’s plan and purpose. We are all born sinners!! That does not mean its alright to sin. So for a person who has sexual attraction to the same gender to say “I was born that way” gives them no more right to follow through with that desire than any other desire which is outside of and against God’s laws. Jesus Christ left His Father’s presence and came to this Earth to defeat sin and pay our just death sentence, so that we could be brought back into the relationship with God that we were created for. For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Society does NOT set the standards for God! But even in society’s arrogant self-will . . . God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Homeward Bound

Homeward bound. It gives me hope to know it’s true. And the longer I live, and the more I experience . . . the more I long for the home I have not yet seen. Lord knows I have made my share of blunders, and I sincerely wish there were no more I would make; and I have both given and received my share of the heartbreaks and pains that human kind deals out to one another; All the good any one of us could ever do will never pay for the injustices we have all caused each other.
Love is the supreme ethic because love is the essence and character of who God is. And it is the love of God that swallows up injustice by fulfilling that justice in His Son. It is in His Son that God can be just AND justifier, because the justice our wrongs demand has been poured out on Christ.
I said I am homeward bound, and I know it is true . . . because the Son of God willingly accepted the sentence that was justly mine. I am justified because justice was fulfilled, and God’s love for me has forgiven me and wiped my soul clean forever . . just as if I’d never sinned at all. And I KNOW, that because of what He has done, I have a perfect home to which I have never been before, but I am going. And it is calling to me stronger and stronger every day.
No sad goodbyes, no sickness no pain, no hatred no strife, no heartbreak no injustice . . . no sin. And forever I will be with the One Who died for me.
He loves you . . . I wish you would trust Him too.

Pavlov’s Dogs

The Bill of Rights was not written to restrict American citizens in their treatment of one another, but to restrict the American government from oppressing its own citizens. And the right to bear arms was the guarantee these rights would be observed. To Destroy the second amendment it to take away the teeth of this guarantee and destroy the entire document. The ignorance of the sleeping American people has taken decades to orchestrate and is an amazing accomplishment. And it is a real shame to know that these words will fall on deaf ears. We the people have been treated like Pavlov’s dogs, and the majority have proven the success of his experiment.

The Anti-Freedom Zealots

Ask any American and he’ll tell you he believes in liberty. To a point, of course. All too often, when liberty goes beyond the inalienable right to choose one’s own brand of mouthwash, the cold fear of freedom begins to seep into the bones.

Cheering on the fear of freedom are those quivering souls steeped in terror at the thought of independent decision-making and freedom of action on the part of their distrusted fellow man. These anti-freedom zealots are members of the well established international community of political ideologues who have brought you such gun-control activists as Joe Stalin and Chairman Mao. And since at least the 1930s it has been clear that even The Land of The Free has its share of these political low-lifes. We must face the fact that the anti-freedom zealots have made their American home in the left, or “liberal,” wing of today’s Democratic Party.

Anti-freedom zealots live in a wayward universe of their own making, a cosmos where nature is contradicted at every turn, where responses to every problem are suicidal measures as certain to make the problem worse as showering gasoline on a housefire. The upended logic of these fanatics is stunning: If there’s a problem with bad guys shooting good guys, then let’s make sure the good guys don’t have guns.

Criminologist Cesare Beccaria, writing in the 18th century, had a word to say about anti-freedom zealots. “False is the idea … that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it … The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm those only who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Can it be supposed that those who have the courage to violate the most sacred laws of humanity, the most important of the code, will respect the less important and arbitrary ones, which can be violated with ease and impunity, and which, if strictly obeyed, would put an end to personal liberty. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides …”

Many Americans today have been taught by propaganda disseminated in the mass media that guns lead dangerous lives of their own. Thus the notorious anti-gun politician, Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) describes a rare and highly desirable sporting rifle in the following terms: “This kind of weapon can blow up a limousine, a helicopter, can take out a vehicle, armored vehicle, maybe a mile away. It can shoot through seven buildings!”

One wonders why the rabid Mr. Waxman and his ilk don’t use similar words to describe the lethal five-gallon bucket, an evil instrument of death which drowns twice as many children each year as are shot by America’s 250 million guns.

Anti-freedom zealots are both helpless and hopeless. They are like decaffeinated coffee, de-clawed cats, or poorly bred dogs who’ve been easily persuaded to forego their natural hunting instincts in order to avoid minor electrical shocks and so tend to have recurring problems with their weakened nervous systems.

Sarah Brady of Handgun Control Inc, has said, mimicking Clinton’s pathetic duck-hunting argument, that “the only reason for guns in civilian hands is for sporting purposes.” Anti-freedom zealots like the Bradys and the Clintons need to be informed that to save one’s life is not a sporting purpose. There’s nothing sporting about it. If it takes a full battle-dress M-16 or AK-47 to get the job done, well, that’s what they’re for.

In their terminal confusion, anti-freedom zealots pay lip service to a Constitution they don’t really understand, but in every act and every thought, whether out of total ignorance or deliberate intent, reveal that their mission is to facilitate the destruction of the Constitution and its replacement with an unnatural ideology most of us thought rusted to bloody dust a long time ago.

Anti-freedom zealots are a malignant danger to all life on Earth as we know it, because their anti-self-defense, anti-gun position is an expression of the most utter contempt for individual human life it is possible to conceive.

Anti-freedom zealots see nothing wrong with leaning on their neighbors to provide them with personal protection even though they would never consider returning the favor. They worship their effeminate fantasy of an all-powerful government with true religious fanaticism. They believe all other humans are as mentally weak, irresponsible, incompetent and self-hating as they know themselves to be. And they encourage only civilization’s most self-destructive tendencies.

To be charitable, anti-freedom zealots are unthinkingly naïve, stone-blind and cowardly. To be frank, they are the evil seeds ultimately responsible for all the crime, war and needless violence the planet has ever seen.

The Constitutional Right And Social Obligation To Carry A Gun

There’s an old wisecrack, true as witticisms, proverbs and aphorisms usually are. It goes like this – funny the things you see when you don’t have a gun.

Suzanna Gratia (now Gratia Hupp) was having a pleasant lunch with her parents in Luby’s cafeteria in Killeen, Texas, when she saw a pickup truck come crashing through the wall. A man armed with two guns and plenty of spare magazines emerged from the truck and started shooting everyone in sight, including Gratia’s mother and father. Al Gratia was shot fatally in the chest. Ursula Gratia was shot point-blank in the head. More than 20 other people in the cafeteria were murdered in cold blood before the killer turned one of his guns on himself and blew his own brains out.

Suzanna hid under a table, clutching her purse which normally contained a .38 revolver. In deference to Texas law at that time, which prohibited carrying concealed weapons on one’s person, she had left her gun in her car. Several more dead diners had guns legally and inaccessibly locked in their cars. Suzanna Gratia Hupp has vowed never to make that mistake again, though such pronouncements always come far too late.

“The decision to follow the law cost me the lives of my parents,” she says. “There is not a day that goes by when I do not think about that.”

Not long after the Killeen massacre, John Taylor and Craig Godineaux knocked on the locked front door of a Wendy’s restaurant in New York City. They called out to the manager, Jean Dumel Auguste, by name. Taylor was familiar with the operation and layout of the restaurant, having worked there for a short time before he was dismissed for theft. The manager opened the door for Taylor and Godineaux and led them to his basement office. Minutes later, he used the store’s intercom to summon his entire night crew of six employees down into the basement for a meeting. What followed was one of the worst massacres in New York history.

The two armed killers herded all seven Wendy’s employees into a walk-in refrigerator, bound their hands, gagged their mouths, covered their heads with plastic bags, ordered them to kneel on the floor, and methodically shot each person in the head with a small-caliber pistol at point-blank range. They then stole about $2,000 in cash and left. New York law and Wendy’s corporate policy had prohibited the victims from arming themselves.

All of the people involved in these incidents were, in a profound way, responsible for their own deaths or the deaths of loved ones. They were equally responsible for the deaths of innocents who dared associate with them and, by abstract extension, for the deaths of everyone ever killed in similar circumstances. Anti-gun laws and policies are always complicit in the execution of innocents. And it’s appropriate that survivors are always ashamed of their inadequacy.

In the final analysis, to face evil with impotence – whether out of cowardice or feeble-mindedness or submission to foolish laws – could well be responsible for the death of society.

Suzanna Gratia Hupp decided to fight back. She set out to change the foolish laws. She turned her anger on her legislators who had “legislated me out of the right to protect myself and my family.” She joined the crusade for the right to carry concealed weapons in Texas and she ran for the state legislature. She was successful on both counts, though not in time to save the lives of her parents.

Today, Rep. Hupp has some harsh words for those gun-control fanatics who come out of the woodwork every time there’s a mass slaying like Columbine. “Why is it that mass shootings now seem to always take place in schools and post offices, places where guns are not allowed? They’re always in these so-called gun-free safety zones.” Like Luby’s cafeteria.
Five Wendy’s employees – Ramon Nazario, Anita C. Smith, Jeremy Mele, Ali Ibadat and Jean Dumel Auguste – took their shame to their graves. There was no good reason on earth why it had to end that way.

A scenario almost identical to that of Wendy’s in New York began to unfold at Shoney’s restaurant in Anniston, Alabama. Two armed robbers took over the restaurant, which was filled with two dozen customers and several employees, and started to herd everyone into the restaurant’s walk-in refrigerator. But this time a smart employee, Thomas Terry, drew his concealed .45 and shot both of the bad guys before this particular mass execution could take place. In a matter of seconds, one criminal lay dead, the other incapacitated, and more than two dozen innocent people had been handed back their lives thanks to a man who had a gun and was not afraid to use it. Thomas Terry, bleeding from a grazing wound to the hip, was happy to play the hero with so many lives at stake.

And still they ask, Why do you carry a gun? What are you afraid of? Do you think some nut is going to drive through the wall and start shooting everybody? Do you think a couple of hardened criminals are going to shove you in the refrigerator and execute you? To which you can only reply, Do you think when you walk out of here and cross the street you’re going to be hit by a truck?

Only when the custom of carrying a gun once again achieves its deserved high level of social legitimacy and political priority will this country get back on the track of respect for human freedom and dignity that has set it apart from the rest of the world for two centuries.

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It’s a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!

545 vs. 300,000,000 People

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.. ( The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.)

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House?( John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. ) If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. [The House has passed a budget but the Senate has not approved a budget in over three years. The President’s proposed budgets have gotten almost unanimous rejections in the Senate in that time. ]

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it’s because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ..

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees… We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!
